Break a leg

posted Thu, 09/21/06

When I woke up today the house felt so empty.  P is off in Florida taking his board exams for his pathology specialty (death) and will be coming home tonight, exhausted I am sure.  Poor guy.  He has been studying for months - this is the doctor's equivalent of the lawyer's bar exam - and he won't even find out how he did for several weeks, despite the fact that there are only 40 people taking the test.  The boards are given once a year for this specialty, and apparently the boards are bell curved so that a certain percentage fail.  Man. I am glad that wasn't how my math class worked in 8th grade, I would have been toast.

So today I am off to spend some time with my mom, and then the Great Housecleaning Project will begin - P's parents are coming in 10 days!  Time to unpack or stow the rest of our boxes, junk, and crap!
