Home, Sweet Home

Dulce is home.  We picked her up tonight, and she is at the top of her cat perch trying to get the stink of animal hospital off of her fur. (I am not allowed to give her a bath for a week for fear the stress might be detrimental.)  The doctors at Michigan State University Animal Hospital aren't sure what caused her rapid decline.  They suspect a bad reaction to both her anesthesia and her pain meds that led to dehydration, gastroenteritis, and possibly septicemia.  Yikes!  She will be on antibiotics for a week or so, but I can totally handle that!

I am so content right now.  My sweet girl is home.  I didn't think I could bear to say goodbye to Dulce this year.  I am so glad that it looks like I won't have to.
