Michigan Fiber Festival August 2009

I have been looking forward to the Michigan Fiber Festival for quite some time now, and I was not disappointed!  Amy, her friend Claire and I piled into Amy's car and headed down to Allegan.  We grabbed a quick bite to eat, and headed into the vendor area.  JOY! So much lovely yarn.  I have no pictures from inside the exhibition barns, it was way too hot and crowded for picture taking.  But outside?



My purchases came from Knitting Notions, Shelridge Farm, Marlene's Felting Madness, and the Spirit within Alpacas.  The haul?


From Left to right: Shelridge Farm Soft Touch Heather, in fury (a dark, complex green), Paradoxical Mitten pattern by Lucy Neatby, darning egg from Knitting Notions as well as two skeins of Classic Merino Supersock (in Dusk and Thyme).  Three skeins of chunky natural alpaca from Spirit Within Alpacas (in Marshall, Michigan), and three mini rovings from Marlene's Felting Madness. 

And if that wasn't enough?


MMmmmm. Root beer float.
