I have been shocked and APPALLED at how much difficulty I have had trying to assemble my Cable Eight. All weekend I fought with it. First crocheting on the edging, then crocheting the edgings together. Tried it on....looked like shit. Took it off, ripped out the crochet, started mattress stitching the seams together, tried it on....still looked like shit....took it appart again and decided to wash and dry it to make it shrink. I let the pieces sit out....you know...so they could think about what they had done to me.
I took the pieces to Knit Night last night. Started seaming....seamed THE FREAKIN' ARMHOLE CLOSED. Ripped out again. Seamed again....
TWO INCHES OFF SOMEHOW...
...EVEN THOUGH I PINNED.
Ripped out again.
Currently I have three inches of a shoulder seamed together. And it doesn't suck.
So tonight I am girding my loins for an assault on Cable Eight. And I figured out why all this bad juju was visited upon me...
Like a Runaway Bride, Adversity has come to town, and I think Ann bought it the ticket.
So, Adversity, time to go! Hope you get escorted from Albuquerque with an ugly crocheted blanket on your head.
Way to kick some Cable Eight butt!
