So tomorrow I see my surgeon. I am really not looking forward to it, because the last time I was left alone with the man he pulled out my chest tube in a manner reminiscent of starting a lawn mower.  But, I am sure he wants to admire his work a full month later, so I will humor him.  Plus, I think it is the only way I am going to get my PICC line out.

Last Friday I hitched a ride with my friend Eileen and her daughter, and went to see the Yarn Harlot. (honestly, do I need to link to her? I don't think so.)  Because we filled up on Navaratna Khorma and mango lassis we didn't make it in time to be in the main room.  So we were in the overflow room, but I didn't enjoy the experience any less. My back was pretty toasted by the end of her talk, and so I was able to hand off my new acquired YH book, along with Eileen's to Amanda and Amy, who kindly waited in line FOR TWO HOURS to get the books signed.....and to gawk at the Yarn Harlot.  So nice!  I think I might actually read the book tonight after I take my Vicodin - always makes for superior reading.

In news from the LYH, the daffodils are SO close to blooming - any day now. The Hyacinth is also in bloom, and I can see iris and day lilies coming up, and what I think may be tulip.  There are also little green spikes that I believe to be hostas everywhere!  There are many mysterious shoots coming out of the ground that have me flumoxed - I am sure my parents will be able to identify them once I post a picture.

The only picture for today?  The collar of my Ariann sweater.  I shall cast off tonight, and then this sweater needs a heck of a blocking - I was 20 pounds lighter when I started this sucker. Luckily I knit a larger size, but still, there will be pins involved.

MMMmmm. Pumpkin colored Araucania Nature Wool.  I already have big plans for the leftovers!

Details to come - right now it is time from some Vs and bed.

Many prayers for a great check "out" today!

I hope the appointment went well. I'm sure the surgeon was working on the "if you rip the bandaid off/tube out fast, it hurts less" theory--which I don't believe in.

That orange is amazing and I covet it!
